As seems to be the case with my sculptures this too has been destroyed...bugger. Anyway I felt compelled to make a clay versoin of the hydra I drew. This one only has three heads as opposed to four on the drawing because I ran out of clay :-S

i am all too familiar with my work getting destroyed.. alot of it is in the clay i used.. if its a fragile sculpture like that cool hydra, its just askin for it..but over the years ive taken some measures to make things a touch more durable. first off, dont use sculpey or regular fimo.. both are waaay too brittle.. use sculpey flexx, or premo or mix the two together.. makes the finished material alot more shock absorbant. fimo soft is good too. and one of the miraculpous things about polymer clay that very few people realize is you can rebake it..but you hafta let it cool first.. all that will happen is it might get a bit darker the more you cure it..this means you can make delicate works of art in fragments and superglue them together and fill in the gaps with more clay after.. realizing these facts made me ALOT better at what i do.. i hope it helps you too:)
